Bastakiya

Bastakiya is a small heritage area, a walkable haven in traffic mad Dubai. A few cobbled streets with traditional houses with wind towers, sitting on the waters of the Creek and facing the Deira side of the city. We visited it on Friday, and it was surreally empty apart from a few tourists. To view the photo gallery, click the image below

Hi,

On Saturday we went out together for the first time since you've left... So as you can see you are not missing much...
We went to a pizzeria off Oxford Street called Spaccanapoli, owned by the same guy who owns Sarracino (actually, he came around to chat and said he has just sold Sarracino).
It was very noisy and crowded, pizza good but not enough topping. Paolino complained and got an extra pizza for free!

No other news from London. Ah, you missed the snow...

Take care,
Anastasia
